The Aldeburgh Beach South Lookout - Saturday 17th March - Sunday 18th March 2012, 11am – 2pm
Aldeburgh on the Suffolk Heritage Coast has always been a favourite destination for music lovers, authors and artists. The famous Aldeburgh Music Festival attracts worldwide interest, and is a month long celebration of music that takes place at Snape Maltings Concert hall each year.
Suffolk now has another festival to offer, as it gears up for the 2nd Aldeburgh ART fringe, courtesy of Caroline Wiseman, a London art dealer and founder of The Aldeburgh Beach South Lookout.
Aldeburgh ART 2012 takes place during the Diamond Jubilee Weekend, however, visitors are welcomed to a taster preview on Saturday 17th March and Sunday 18th March 2012. Artists exhibiting at the preview include John Barker, Celeste Goschen, Sue Hawkes, Theronda Hoffman, Zoe Martin, Ruth McCabe, Colin Slee, Mark Ward, Vicky West and Judith Wilson.
The main festival in June 2012 will be centred around all visual arts, with artists being invited to collaborate alongside businesses, hotels, and restaurants by staging their own pop up events throughout Aldeburgh and the surrounding villages.
Further details of the preview can be found at the Aldeburgh ART website.
