Suffolk Secrets was established in 1995. We've grown to become one of the county's leading agencies for holiday cottage lettings and we represent over 800 quality-assessed properties throughout the Suffolk coast and countryside. Since our foundation, we're proud to have gained a reputation for outstanding professional and personal service, quality holiday cottages and for providing a wealth of local knowledge our to customers and homeowners alike.
In 2005 we were bought by The Original Cottage Company, a group of locally focused brands owned by the Ellis family. We moved into the Grade II listed Old Water Tower on Southwold Common and set about restoring and extending it to house our ever growing team. Now, we can be found in Southwold marketplace at number 19 in another Grade II listed building with a fascinating history and in a prime and bustling location.
Suffolk Secrets also has an office in the much-loved coastal town of Aldeburgh – the former hometown of the famous Suffolk composer, Benjamin Britten. You’ll find us opposite The Golden Galleon fish and chip shop.
We'd delighted to say that Suffolk Secrets has moved forward in leaps and bounds since its beginnings and has a highly professional and knowledgeable reservations team and an exceptional homeowner team; who liaise with the owners of our holiday properties throughout Suffolk.
We also have a dynamic marketing team working to promote our holiday cottages. This team includes professionals specialising in IT, communications, marketing, photography, search engine optimisation (SEO) and design. A testament to this is our website, utilising the latest technology and tabs Online Booking System ensuring that we continue to provide beautiful self-catering cottages in Suffolk for you to book securely and most importantly... to enjoy!
Suffolk Secrets is also passionate about looking after the beautiful landscapes that surround our holiday cottages and workplace. Over the years, we have supported a variety of conservation projects on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Recently, we raised more than £28,000 for the Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB (Area of Natural Beauty) CONNECT Scheme, through a voluntary customer donation scheme. Monies raised were used to upgrade the historic Sailors' Path, a beautiful walk from Snape Maltings to Aldeburgh that snakes along the River Alde taking in a variety of landscapes include reed beds, grassland and freshwater dykes which are home to otter and many kinds of insects and plants.
