Proud to Support Suffolk Wildlife Trust

Suffolk Secrets is delighted to be working with charity partner Suffolk Wildlife Trust for 2020 and 2021, with a commitment to provide funding of £24,000 over the two year period.

We know how important wildlife and Suffolk's beautiful landscapes are to our customers.  When asked why they holiday in Suffolk 80% said they enjoyed walking in Suffolk, 43% liked to visit our nature reserves and 26% expressed a love of bird watching, so our support of Suffolk Wildlife Trust is a great fit.

The funds provided by Suffolk Secrets are partly raised through customer donations.  Every customer is asked for a voluntary £1 donation when they book and this will make up approximately one quarter of the cash.  The rest of the funds are kindly given by Suffolk Secrets' parent company The Original Cottage Company.

A large proportion of the funds will be used to support a tremendously exciting project taking place at Carlton Marshes - a special place for wildlife not far from Southwold.  This 1,000 acres of wildness, is the southern gateway to the Broads National Park and is currently under a £4million transformation to create wetland habitats that will welcome a variety of wildlife species, a stunning new visitor centre, viewpoints, boardwalks and paths.
