Mary Gundry's iconic paintings of the coast really do capture the essence of Suffolk’s beautiful seaside towns such as Southwold and Walberswick. Often featuring children playing on the beach, crabbing in Walberswick or Southwold's colourful beach huts, Mary Gundry’s passion for traditional English seaside activities such as paddling in the sea and building sandcastles can found in her watercolours and oil paintings.
After years of running a gallery in Southwold, Mary decided she wanted to dedicate more of her time to painting and decided to sell her high street business in 2005.
She now runs The Little Gallery in the historic Market Place in Halesworth, with her photographer partner Collin Higgins.
