Set within a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty, Snape Maltings is a wonderful place to visit whilst taking a short break or longer stay in one of our Suffolk cottages.
Snape Maltings is renowned for hosting the Aldeburgh Festival of Music and Arts and Snape Proms each year. Other wonderful events that take place at Snape Maltings include the Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival, Deben Events’ Vintage and Designer-Maker Markets, workshops, guided walks and a monthly farmers market.
Snape Maltings also features nine wonderful independent businesses including a craft shop selling beautiful ceramics, the award winning House and Garden Store, Samphire Boutique, an antiques shop, “Little Rascals” children’s shop, a book shop, food hall and the Pond Gallery.
Located in a peaceful setting right on the banks of the River Alde, there are also several walking tracks starting at Snape Maltings including a scenic walk to Iken Church via Iken Cliffs and the recently upgraded Sailors’ Path walk to Aldeburgh.
Via our customer donation scheme, Suffolk Secrets donated funds to upgrade the Sailors’ Path during 2012.
