Build a Bat Box at Carlton Marshes, SuffolkDoes the word "bat" conjure up images of bat-filled skies (Scoobie Doo) and witches' coverns? Well the poor old bat is actually pretty harmless and is one of the most threatened mammals in Britain. These furry, fanged insect eaters need a helping hand when it comes to roosting time, and you can help by making and putting up a simple bat box.

At this educational workshop run by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, you can learn to make your very own bat box and find out about the best place to place it.

WHERE: Suffolk Wildlife Trust, Carlton Marshes, Burnt Hill Lane, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR33 8HUWHEN: Tuesday 18 February 2014, 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Cost £5 - includes all materials.

Searching for self-catering accommodation in the area? You might like to view our Southwold holiday cottages availability page.  We still have some availability during half term and many of our cottages now have reduced rate price bands during the February school holidays.
