Freston is a charming Suffolk village, located in the north west of the Shotley Peninsula – a beautiful area framed by the River Orwell to the north and River Stour to the south. The Shotley Peninsular offers many peaceful walking trails and is well known for hosting the annual Thames Barge Sailing Match, organised by the Pin Mill Sailing Club.

Lodge Farm in Freston offers an ideal base from which to explore the Shotley Peninsular and for visiting Jimmy’s Farm (owned by TV celebrity chef Jimmy Doherty), The Butt and Oyster pub in Pin Mill and The Suffolk Food Hall in Wherstead.

Situated with the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Lodge Farm offers a choice of 3 tastefully furnished self-catering cottages that sleep 2, 4 or 6 people. The Lodge Farm cottages - The Dairy, The Parlour and The Buttery - are interconnecting so can also be offered for parties of up to 12 people
