Situated right in the heart of Lavenham, it is perfectly located for exploring Lavenham's splendid medieval high street with its wonderful selection of galleries, shops and tea rooms. It is also located just a short walk away from the graceful market place – home of the ancient Lavenham Guildhall, the Little Hall Museum and the 15th century Angel Hotel - believed to be Lavenham's oldest inn, now owned by Marco-Pierre White.

Thomas Turner Cottage is a cosy Lavenham cottage with two double bedrooms (sleeps 4), a beautiful courtyard garden and Wi-Fi. It has been lavishly decorated to a high standard and is the perfect holiday home for discovering a cluster of medieval towns and villages known as The Suffolk Wool Towns.

Lavenham is believed to be England’s best preserved medieval town and is known for its incredibly beautiful high street, lined with leaning timber-framed buildings. Lavenham’s wealth grew during medieval times when there was a thriving textile production industry within the village and throughout surrounding areas such as Cavendish, Long Melford and Clare.  As the industry boomed – both here and abroad – it brought significant wealth to the area,  which shaped its architecture and infrastructure.

Today, Lavenham boasts over 300 listed buildings, and one of its most beautiful is arguably the ancient Guildhall of Corpus Christi. Now managed by the National Trust, this remarkable building is well worth a visit and offers an informative timeline exhibition which explains the changing fortunes of Lavenham.
