Friday's Cottage in Reydon is the perfect holiday property for a break away on any day of the week - not just on a Friday!

It's located within walking distance of Reydon Woods, which is a Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve famed for its fabulous displays of bluebells every Spring.

Tastefully renovated throughout and surrounded by a garden, this detached cottage near Southwold is full of character with low beamed ceilings.

The sitting room at Friday’s Cottage features a woodburner, so you’ll be nice and toasty during the cooler months. Enjoy evenings in with the family (and the dog if you want to bring him/her!) and make use of free WiFi, a Wii games console with a selection of games, or watch a movie on the large flat screen TV (with DVD).

Start your day with a long and leisurely breakfast in the light and contemporary kitchen which features French doors that lead out the garden. In the warmer months, enjoy some family time outdoors by having “al fresco” meals outside.

During your holiday there are lots of lovely walks to discover nearby. If you’re a fan of historic attractions, discover the nearby ruins of Covehithe church. Southwold is just a short distance away and is always a firm-family favourite with its iconic pier, brightly coloured beach huts and Blue Flag beach.

In Reydon itself you’ll find not one but two Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserves, namely the Hen Reedbeds which was created in 1999 to provide new breeding habitats for bittern and other wildlife and Reydon Woods.

Reydon Woods is a beautiful and ancient woodland and home to an abundant wildlife population including many different species of butterflies and birds including tree creepers, tawny owls and nightingales. This Suffolk woodland is also rich in wildflowers where you’ll find common spotted orchid, violets, ragged-robin and primroses in abundance. It’s also a fantastic place to see carpets of bluebells during spring time. The scenic walk (approximately one mile) from Friday’s Cottage to Reydon Woods offers a fantastic opportunity for the whole family to get out into the great outdoors.

Friday’s Cottage is the perfect base from which to enjoy these reserves and many more local attractions and walks. So what are you waiting for? Book a Friday’s Cottage holiday today!
