Summer Fun with Silly Eric!

This summer there will be many visitors to the seaside town of Southwold as well as the surrounding villages and whilst there are many attractions and shops to keep the adults busy, what about the kids?

We were so pleased to hear that the Silly Eric Day Camp is returning to Southwold for a second time. This fun filled event targeted at children between the ages of 1 and 15 years old would be the ideal programme to keep the little ones busy.

Gracie Wright is the creator and author of ‘Silly Eric’. Gracie is a local lady who grew up in Suffolk and has had over 15 years’ experience working alongside children. The book was written to affirm love over children, to say to them that it doesn’t matter if you get things wrong in life, “we love you just the way you are” (the motto of the book). Gracie decided to create this day camp to get children together to have fun and be silly as well as learning to work and support each other in the group.

This event will be taking place in August at Southwold Rugby Club on the Common (opposite Suffolk Secrets’ office) on 17th, 18th, 21st, 24th, 25th and 28th August 2015 from 9.30am – 2.30pm.

Children will be divided into age groups – Silly Tots (from ages 1 to 3 years old), Silly Birds (from ages 4 to 13 years old) and Silly Pros (from ages 7 to 15 years old).

There will also be archery classes on Monday’s and Tuesday’s between 10.30am and 2.30pm for Silly Pros only. 

Oranges, apples, bananas and water are all provided however children will need to bring their own packed lunches.

These fun filled activities have been carefully designed to work and develop learning skills and encourage little people to work together.

Programmes are also available to collect from Suffolk Secrets at The Old Water Tower when you collect keys for your holiday cottage.
