Framlingham Sausagefest!
Published: Wednesday 16th Sep 2015
It’s not long until the annual Sausagefest Festival hosted in the picturesque market town of Framlingham!
Back by popular demand this year’s event is taking place on Saturday 10th October at Market Hill. This event is packed full of fun-filled activities for all the family and of course, for those who love this pork favourite, you can’t afford to miss it!
There will be of course another competition to find the “Best Framlingham SausageFest Banger” and alongside this are sub-categories including ‘Best Winter Sizzler’ and ‘Best Gluten-Free’ and ‘Best Vegetarian’.
Use the Sausage Trail Map to guide you around stalls where you can sample some of the finest bangers from local producers from across East Anglia. There will also be workshops set up at various destinations in Framlingham such as sausage making workshops at the Unitarian Meeting House, BBQ workshops at The Cook Shop and ‘Telling Porkies’ at Bridge House which is story-making for kids and grown-ups.
This event is perfect for all ages, young and old, and although sausages are the theme of the festival there will be other delights taking place such as entertainment, food stalls selling a range of gourmet doughnuts, bacon mayonnaise, kitchenwares, local chutneys and metal artwork.
So if you’re holidaying in Suffolk and fancy bringing the family together with a foodie event, visit the Framlingham Sausagefest website for further information on how to book tickets. Kids under 5 years of age go free and there’s a great deal on family tickets too!
