Ok, so the Rugby World Cup may be over, but who's to say it all ends here?
If you are in Aldeburgh, Thorpeness or nearby staying in one of our fantastic holiday cottages why not pop down to see the chaps at the Aldeburgh & Thorpeness Rugby Club in action. Made up of some exceptional local players this club is on the rise and the standard of rugby is well worth a watch.
A lot of our holidaymakers are avid rugby fans and with the World Cup being held in England, there is a real feeling of enthusiasm for this popular sport.
The 1st XV play at King’s Field in Aldeburgh where you will also find a great open space to kick or throw a ball about, a children’s play area and footpaths taking you to some beautiful walks across towards the Aldeburgh Sailing Club. Standing at the Rugby Pitch you can look across toward Iken and the lazy River Alde.
