This November Aldeburgh Cinema will be hosting its ever more successful Aldeburgh Documentary Festival. The 23rd of its kind, on the weekend of the 3rd to the 5th of November the cinema will be showing a diverse range of thought provoking documentaries, interviews and panel discussions.

The festival is very proud to be including the likes of award winning Asif Kapadia, known for his record breaking documentary 'Amy', Nick Robinson, one of the BBC's most successful presenters and political correspondent and Alan Yentob, an award winning programme maker including his acclaimed, 'Imagine' series. The documentaries shown throughout the weekend cover a fantastic range of culture, themes and debate from poultry enthusiasts in New Zealand to women in Nepal living in the Himalayas to the greatest living war photographer. If the documentary festival sounds like your cup of tea, we have lots of holiday cottages available for long or short breaks over the festival weekend.

Aldeburgh Cinema is a charitable establishment and a community enterprise, making it a very special part of Aldeburgh. It is run for the benefit of locals and visitors with no economic interests, just a wonderful place to enjoy good cinema. Screening films since 1919, the building oozes character and has a wonderful history.

Aldeburgh Cinema is offering Suffolk Secrets customers exclusive access to tickets for the documentary festival a week before anyone else, which are on sale from the 18th of September. Click here for a full list of properties available over the festival weekend.
