What Fireworks to See in Suffolk this November

If you’re visiting Suffolk or planning a trip in the near future, Guy Fawkes Night and the week surrounding it is a brilliant time to take a break in our beautiful county. With so much going on at our stately homes and along the wonderful coastline, there’s plenty of firework displays to choose from. Warm your mittens with a cup of mulled wine, enjoy some great live music and of course relax by the smouldering orange glow of a huge bonfire. You’ll be ooing and aahing to your hearts content as you’re amazed by some carefully put together, technicolour displays of pyrotechnics. Below is a list of just a few of the Guy Fawkes celebrations happening on the Suffolk Coast, but for a full list of events, why not take a look at our ‘What’s On’ page. Christchurch Park Fireworks Saturday 3rd November

A musical firework display extravaganza, Christchurch Park Fireworks have put on amazing firework displays year after year, all with a carefully selected stream of music which their fireworks explode in the night's sky in time to. Opening at 6 pm, you can enjoy the funfair, catering and bars which will be on-site, along with a selection of live music on three different stages which kicks off at 6:45. Be sure not to miss the smooth sounds of Soul Kitchen on the main stage at 7. The fireworks will kick off at 8 pm, so whether you get there early or late, there’s plenty of time to enjoy all that the evening has to offer, which the park closing at 10 pm. 

Heveningham Hall FireworksSaturday 3rd November

A firework display plus so much more, Heveningham Hall Fireworks is a spectacular evening to partake in when visiting Suffolk in November. Not only will you enjoy an amazing firework display by Full Effect Fireworks, but you’ll also be entertained by a huge bonfire, a traditional funfair, two fully licensed bars, fish & chips, hog roast, BBQ and lots of tasty local food. Along with all of this, they’ll be some great live music to bop around too and warm you joints including performances by the well-known British pop group the Noisettes, The Vagaband and a talented Queen tribute, One Night of Queen. Making things just that extra bit special, you’ll be at an incredible venue, as all of this takes place outside the front of the beautiful hall itself. 

Felixstowe Firework SpectacularSunday 4th November

The 10th event of its kind, Felixstowe Firework Spectacular will take place at Felixstowe and Walton United Football Club and is set to be their biggest and best display yet. Not only will punters be thrilled by the impressive display which starts at 6:30, but they’ll also have performances from ‘Night Flight’ aerial display team and ‘Fireflow’ Fire Show to wow their vision. Alongside these wonderful performances will be a funfair and food village to keep you entertained for the whole evening. Advanced tickets at a reduced price can be purchased via the Felixstowe Football website, however, tickets on the gate will be available. 

Family Friendly Firework Display at RendleshemSunday 4th November

A wonderful family friendly event at Jubilee Park, not far from Woodbridge, Rendleshem Firework Display will be hosting a funfair and firework show by Kimbolton Fireworks. A free event, although donations are welcome, teas, coffee and hot chocolate will be supplied by Rendleshem Scouts ensuring people are kept nice and warm along with some yummy sweet treats. Food will be provided by some fantastic local organisations including The Wandering Grill, East Suffolk’s premier burger van and Wood Fired Pizza Paella. Once fed and watered, grab your glow sticks from Friends of Rendleshem School and enjoy the display at 06:30.

The Big Night Out, Long MelfordFriday 9th November

Put together by Project Seven, a wonderful organisation that helps local charities and events, The Big Night Out in Long Melford will be displaying one of the largest bonfire and firework displays around. Carefully choreographed and staged by Pains Fireworks, you’ll want a front row seat to this awesome display which features the latest from the pyrotechnic industry for a whopping thirty minutes to the backdrop of a ginormous bonfire. Alongside the bonfire and fireworks, there will be a large fairground with many rides and lots of food and drink outlets including a BBQ by Project Seven. All proceeds will go to local charities, and tickets are available to buy from local shops or on the gate.
