Image removed. The Suffolk countryside is vast and varied and there are still a few gems that remain relatively untouched and unknown.

Luckily, the Suffolk Cottage Holidays team know the Suffolk countryside like the back of their hand. This month our Property Recruiter, Megan Desborough, is going to divulge her Suffolk Hidden Gem with you…

Megan says "My Suffolk Hidden Gem has to be Maison Bleue - a glorious French fine dining resturant set in the cobbled back streets of the historic town of Bury St Edmunds and just a stone’s throw from the Abbey Gardens. Serving some of the finest food in Suffolk, with owner and head chef, Pascal Canevet championing seasonal and locally sourced produce. Whether you are celebrating a special event or just fancy a mouth-watering meal, the Maison Bleue, provides you with everything necessary for a delicious lunch or dinner.

My family have been coming to the Maison Bleue for many years and it is one of my absolute favourite places to eat. The slow poached apple with caramel and chocolate ice cream, honey and salted butter caramel sauce is my go-to and I know every time I come here; I will always have a truly scrumptious meal with excellent service. This is definitely one of Suffolk’s hidden gems!"

What's your hidden gem? We will be sharing a Suffolk Hidden Gem with you each month - why not sure share yours too?
