Lowestoft Holiday Cottages

North of Southwold and close by to Kessingland you'll find the coastal town of Lowestoft. A fun seaside town, Lowestoft is famous for its morning sunrises and Ness Point, the official most easterly place in the UK. Birthplace of composer Benjamin Britten, Lowestoft offers fun for families with a stunning beach, arcades, a theme park and a zoo close by. Whether you decide to visit or stay on your travels to Suffolk, Lowestoft makes for a great day out and a brilliant base also.

One of Lowestoft's most wonderful features is its golden beach. Lined with beach huts, the sands that look out to see are soft and welcoming. In the summer, days can be spent here making sandcastles, splashing around in the sea and when the weather is fine, sunbathing. In the winter, the beach is the perfect place to get some much needed fresh air and offers open space for dog walkers. Close by to the beach you'll find Lowestoft Pier and arcades. Hours of fun can be had here with the many slot machines and games that the venues offer. For a break in between all of the fun, The Thatch cafe serves yummy lunches and great coffee. Many mornings can be spent here, and as you watch the sunrise, you'll feel like the only person in the world.

Lowestoft has many other fun things to embark on during your visit. Africa Alive which is a short drive away is home to hundreds of African animals and includes an amazing central enclosure with giraffes, rhinos, zebras and gazelles. Within Lowestoft, you'll find Pleasure Wood Hills, and exciting theme park with rides, well-known mascots and daily shows.
