Minsmere Holiday Cottages

Minsmere is situated on the Suffolk heritage coast within the Coast and Heaths AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), and is ideally located for discovering Suffolk's beautiful coastal path. Our Minsmere cottages are also the perfect base from which to explore Suffolk's picturesque villages and towns including Westleton (approx. 2 miles), Dunwich (approx. 4 miles), Blythburgh (approx. 6 miles), Aldeburgh (approx. 8 miles) and Southwold (approx. 10 miles).

In addition to some lovely walking opportunities through RSPB Minsmere itself, this area offers some excellent cycling and walking trails including a wonderful heathland and gorse walk that passes through the National Trust managed Dunwich Heath.

There are some excellent pubs and eateries close to our Minsmere cottages including The Eel's Foot Inn in Eastbridge which offers a great choice of dishes on its menu with regular folk-music nights. The Ship in Dunwich is also a popular place for great food and local ales and also offers live music events during the warmer months. The beautiful grade II listed Middleton Bell is another local favourite and was awarded "Value Pub of Year 2011" by The Good Pub Guide.
