Hacheston Cottages

Our Hacheston holiday cottages are ideally located in the heart of Suffolk where there is more to discover than you may think. Hacheston is a small village located between the village of Wickham Market and the larger market town of Framlingham. Hacheston's beautiful Church of All Saints is well worth a visit and although this Grade I listed building was restored in the late 19th Century, parts of the building date back to Medieval times.

Hacheston and the surrounding area has a network of cycle paths and walking trails that link neighbouring villages and towns including Easton and Wickham Market. Easton; a pretty Suffolk village located right next door to Hacheston, is home to Easton Farm Park. This is a great family attraction with Suffolk Punch horses, donkeys, lambs, train rides and some beautiful countryside walking trails. Don't forget to visit Easton's fantastic pub called the White Horse which serves excellent food throughout the year and has a lovely beer garden for the warmer months.

Wickham Market is located just a few miles away from Hacheston. This traditional Suffolk market town has many independent shops, cafes and restaurant as well a large supermarket. Wickham Market also hosts a very popular rural auction every Monday at the Campsea Ashe sale ground. Items available at the Campsea Ashe auctions include fine art, antiques, agricultural machinery, Victoriana, vintage tea sets, books and furniture. On certain days during the year, livestock auctions are also held onsite.

Attractions close to Hacheston include Parham Airfield Museum (approximately 2.8 miles away), Snape Maltings (approximately 7.8 miles away), Woodbridge Tide Mill (approximately 8.8 miles away) and Orford Castle (approximately 10.3 miles away).

Hatcheston is also a great base from which to discover Framlingham and its magnificent 12th century castle (approximately 4.3 miles away). This majestic Tudor fortress is now owned by English Heritage and is an interesting day out for all the family. Framlingham also has many independent pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops along its historic, winding streets.
