With fifty years of use under its belt, in April of 1929 Southwold Railway which linked Southwold to Halesworth closed its train doors for the last time.
From chariot burials dating back to circa c.2000 BC and the Middle Ages to the Great Plains of America and the Industrial Age, the importance of the horse in the development of human civilisation has been well documented.
Last Sunday we hosted our Open Day in at The Old Water Tower in Southwold. The weather began a little clouded over, but subsequently stayed dry for the duration of the day.
With Halloween just around the corner, my thoughts have turned to the spooky goings on of the county and I remembered back to my local school days, when I learned about the wonderful lost city of Dunwich.
