We are delighted to be supporting eight local projects through the Suffolk Secrets Fund in 2017, each very different in its aspirations.
The Suffolk Secrets fund will be supporting these projects with over £15,000 in 2017, thanks to the generous donations of our customers. Click on each of the images below for a brief summary of the project.

Longshop Museum Community Garden
To transform an underused garden at the museum into an attractive community garden, utilising upcycled materials and giving volunteers opportunity to learn new skills.

A series of beachcombing walks and events based around Suffolk's shingle beaches to help people understand, appreciate and conserve this rare and fragile habitat.

Creation of an online community and series of local events to showcase Suffolk, and in particular where, when and how to experience the best sunrises, sunsets and other scenes across the county.

Lines from the Landscape
A series of poetry workshops in local schools, focusing on our landscape. Working with up to 450 pupils to inspire hundreds of poems about the local landscape, to be entered into the Suffolk Young Poets Competition.

Dunwich GreyFriars Trust
To create a comprehensive website for the Dunwich Greyfriars Trust for the education and provision of information to visitors to the monastery and as a resource for the publication of archaeological information.
Wild Villages
A project to raise awareness, engagement and understanding in the community of the wonderful wildlife in the Deben Peninsular and AONB, Bawdsey, Alderton, Hollesley and Boyton.
Area of Outstanding Natural Bread
To document, celebrate and promote local artisan bakers through an illustrated guide "An Area of Outstanding Natural Bread", supported by a series of family workshops and exhibitions
