Suffolk Secrets AONB Fund 2018 Projects

 

We are delighted to be supporting six local projects through the Suffolk Secrets Fund in 2018, each very different in its aspirations.  

The Suffolk Secrets fund will be supporting these projects with over £11,000 in 2018, thanks to the generous donations of our customers.  Click on each of the images below for a brief summary of the project.

Waveney Bird Club

To give essential disabled access to the East Hide at RSPB Minsmere presenting equal opportunity to all visitors.

Aldeburgh's Amazing Swifts

To install Swift nest boxes (with camera system) in the Church belfry and to raise awareness of the fact that Swifts are endangered and of the need to preserve and increase nest sites.

Green Snape

To transform a neglected and underused village green into an attractive green space to enhance the visual appearance, accessibility, environment and biodiversity of the area for residents, visitors and wildlife.

Woodbridge Creative Arts

Support towards the Woodbridge area monthly creativity showcase events in the Shire Hall where creators and makers exhibit and provide family activities.

Beach Bonkers

Beachcombing walks & events based around Suffolk’s signature shingle beaches to help people understand, appreciate and help to conserve this rare and fragile habitat.

Arts Branches CIC

To enable groups of vulnerable people to access the coast and enjoy activities to engage with the sense of place in a supported and creative setting. Invitation for families to workshops with artist engagement.
